Replacing Lost Teeth with Full or Partial Dentures

Posted .

If you have missing teeth, that can create many different problems for your mouth, teeth, and even general health. Speech impairment, chewing trouble, and embarrassment can all come from missing teeth. Full or partial dentures may be the best solution to restore your teeth and smile.

Our dentist will examine the area to make sure all of the surrounding teeth are healthy and strong. If any of the existing teeth in the area are also compromised by tooth decay or periodontal disease, your dentist might recommend having them extracted and added to the denture.

Once the area to receive the denture has been properly prepared, Dr. Blake Lawlor will make a detailed impression of the area, from the gums to the surrounding teeth to the opposing teeth. This will let the dental lab construct the denture to function perfectly.

The technician will use the cast to made the foundation of your dentures so they will be comfortable in your mouth. Once you have them, you’ll be able to enjoy your favorite foods as you always did.

If you have lost multiple teeth and you are interested you should consider calling Dr. David Blake Lawlor, DDS, LLC’s clinic in Wichita, Kansas at 316-684-5511 to see if you are a good candidate for dentures.
